Granddaughter Dance
El Carmen, Peru
Two of Amador
Ballumbrosio's granddaughters dress in costume and dance to his music.
Ballumbrosio, 65, is known
for his music. He learned to play the fiddle from his grandfather when he was four-years-old.
His grandfather said
if he taught him to play, Ballumbrosio must play and pass on his gift.
He teaches children
in the small town of El Carmen.
Many of the citizens
in El Carmen are the descendants of African slaves.
