Global Climate: Change is in the Air
The world is getting warmer and scientists believe that humans are partly responsible. The chemical emissions of industrialization, in the form of greenhouse gasses such as CO2, are altering the Earth's atmosphere.
During this century, greenhouse gasses have trapped enough heat in the atmosphere to increase Earth's average surface air temperature one-half degree Celsius. If this warming trend continues experts believe it could significantly alter climate patterns around the globe.
Explore the status of the Earth's climate with Aurora Photographer Joanna Pinneo as she documents environmental changes around the globe.
